What does it mean to be a Green Design student? A Green Design student participates in a rigorous 4-year college preparatory and career readiness program - leveraging the arts to enhance student application in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics - in order to discover his/her place in the environment through real-world, project-based learning; our annual “Environmental Fair,” and grade level field trips set to expose students to college, cultural arts, and the natural surroundings.  As the new principal of Green Design, now in its thirteenth year, I invite all students who want to strengthen their connection to their environment to join our positive school culture as we work together to build community in pursuit of becoming Green Design ambassadors ready to change the global world!  ~ John J Chavez, Green Design STEAM Academy Principal
